We select HFB bearing housings for your machine and the conditions it runs in. Where a catalogue housing falls short, we propose custom HFB bearing housings: a special design, or a housing modified to suit a particular bearing or to take sensors.
When you need it
- A catalogue housing does not suit your machine and has to be adapted to a specific bearing.
- The bearing arrangement runs in damp conditions, is pressure-washed or is exposed to cutting or hydraulic oils, and needs a housing with extra surface protection.
- Your equipment runs at elevated temperatures or in a food plant, and you need a design adapted to those conditions.
- You build or operate fans and need housings for high speeds.
- You plan to monitor bearing condition and need a housing prepared for sensors.
What we do
Choosing the right housing
Based on your description of the machine and its operating conditions, we choose the housing type: flanged, two-bearing, take-up or metric housings, or hanger housings for kiln cars. We confirm the feasibility of unusual solutions before sending the quotation.
Modifications for bearings and sensors
A housing can be adapted to a particular bearing or prepared for sensors that monitor bearing condition. The scope of work is set out in the quotation.
Special designs
For harsh conditions, housings can be built to order with higher corrosion or heat resistance, or adapted to food industry requirements.
Fan housings
For fan manufacturers and operators we select housings from the GOS/GOF, ZLGO and BL/PDNI series, as well as monobloc housings. They are designed for high speeds, energy saving and long service life.
SSP coating
SSP (Stainless Steel Protection) is a layer of very fine 316L stainless steel particles. It protects the housing against corrosion, abrasion, weathering, industrial emissions and cutting or hydraulic oils. It also keeps out moisture during high-pressure washing.

Alongside the housing we select flexible couplings, shaft seals, spherical roller bearings and insert bearings, so every part of the bearing arrangement fits together.

How much does an adapted or special-design HFB housing cost?

Can an HFB housing be prepared for a sensor?
Yes. The housing can be modified to take a sensor that monitors bearing condition. Tell us in your request which sensor you use or plan to use, and we will set out the scope of work in the quotation.
Are the housings suitable for food plants and pressure washing?
There are designs adapted to food industry requirements, and the SSP coating protects against corrosion from moisture, including during high-pressure washing. It also resists food acids, syrups, fermentation and distillation products, and mild acids and alkalis at concentrations below 2%. Whether a design meets your plant's requirements will be confirmed in the quotation.

In Germany. The manufacturer, founded in 1996, has a plant in Buchen with more than 5,000 m² of production space. It makes catalogue products as well as parts designed to individual customer orders.
