Description
This adapter sleeve provides a mounting fit between a bearing with a tapered bore and a cylindrical shaft. The bore diameter is 80.0 mm, the design is standard, and the net mass is 1.75 kg. Being a complete mechanical component, it is supplied ready for fitting without additional machining. The tapered outer surface of the sleeve allows the bearing inner ring to be drawn up along the shaft, generating the radial interference needed to seat the bearing securely at any position along its length. This construction simplifies mounting and dismounting on plain cylindrical shafts and permits axial positioning of the bearing to be adjusted during assembly.
