SNI split plummer block housings

A split plummer block to DIN 736 and 737 — the most bought HFB series and the usual replacement for SNL housings.

SNI housings take self-aligning ball and spherical roller bearings, mounted on the shaft directly or on an adapter sleeve. They are designed for grease lubrication only; the manufacturer will drill lubrication holes on request.

The bearing seat is machined to H8. A locating bearing is obtained by fitting one or two fixing rings between the housing shoulder and the bearing outer ring.

They come with felt seals as standard. For high temperatures or heavy dirt loads other seal arrangements can be ordered. Where the shaft ends inside the housing, a cover plate replaces the seal on one side.

Under the SSNI designation the same housing is available with a reinforced base — standard without holes in the base, with two or four on request.
