Description
This component provides the inner raceway for a needle roller bearing arrangement built on a cylindrical shaft seat, replacing the need for a hardened and ground shaft surface. The ring has a bore diameter of 22.0 mm, a width of 30.0 mm, and a net mass of 53.6 g. Its cylindrical bore allows a straightforward slide fit onto the shaft without additional machining of the shaft raceway. Using a separate inner ring such as IR22X28X30-XL lets the shaft be manufactured from unhardened material, since the raceway surface is fully contained on the ring itself. This design is suited to applications where the shaft cannot be hardened and ground to bearing raceway tolerances, and it allows the ring to be replaced independently of the shaft if the raceway wears.
