Description
Secures the locknut against unintentional loosening on the shaft by bending one of its tabs into a corresponding groove of the nut and the other into an axial slot on the shaft. The plate has a bore diameter of 190.0 mm, an outside diameter of 252.0 mm and a net mass of 288.0 g, with main dimensions to DIN 5406. Fitted between the bearing and the locknut, MB38 transmits no radial or axial load itself but locks the nut position once tightened, preventing rotation relative to the shaft. Its flat plate design allows the tabs to be bent by hand tools during assembly, making the connection serviceable at future disassembly without damaging the shaft thread.
