UC, HC, SA, SB and UK insert bearings

Ball bearings with a spherical outer ring — they differ only in how they are fixed to the shaft and in the sealing.

All these bearings have a spherically ground outer ring, so they align themselves in the spherical housing bore and compensate for misalignment. They allow no axial movement, which rules them out as floating bearings.

Choosing the series means choosing the fixing. An eccentric collar (HC with the inner ring extended on both sides, SA on one) is intended for a constant direction of rotation. Grub screws (UC on both sides, SB on one) take an alternating direction. An adapter sleeve (UK) suits higher speeds and changing directions.

Every version is sealed on both sides and filled with lithium soap grease No 2. The permissible temperature range for seals and lubricant is −30 °C to +100 °C; under normal conditions they run maintenance-free. The HC-R3 series carries a triple seal for extreme conditions, and UC adds outer sliding discs.
